Callbreak is a popular South Asian trick-taking card game that can be played with 4 players, each dealt 13 cards. It is similar to the game of Bridge, but much simpler and easier to understand. In Callbreak, the objective is to win as many rounds as possible by correctly predicting the number of tricks you can win.
To start the game, the 52-card deck is shuffled and the dealer deals a set of 13 cards to each player. The game consists of 5 rounds, and in each round, one player is designated as the dealer. The dealer is responsible for dealing the cards, starting with the player to his/her right.
The player to the left of the dealer has to make the first bid, predicting the number of tricks he/she can win in the round. The other players, in clockwise order, also have to make their bids. The sum of all the bids cannot be equal to the number of tricks that can be won in that round, so players have to be careful while making their bids.
Once all the players have made their bids, the game begins. The player to the right of the dealer starts the game by playing any card from their hand. The other players then have to play a card of the same suit if possible, and if not, they can play any card from their hand.
